Case Studies Guidelines
The American Academy of Advanced Aesthetic Dentistry (4AD) aims to promote Excellence in dental practice, encouraging prospective candidates and members from different countries to post and share their clinical cases in line with the Academy values.
These in-depth case studies include all aspects of dentistry such as aesthetic related dental procedures, periodontal diseases, dental implants and endodontics.
These case studies may be presented in different forms:
Individual case study
Group case study
Clinical case presentation
Above all, these case studies will provide you with insights into the challenges involved in patient care.
Case Studies Guidelines
The title should be relevant to the case study
Write an abstract that summarizes the case study
State the mission of your case study that is “to use this clinical case to disseminate best clinical practice’’….
All clinical case studies should be assessed on evidence based dentistry
Case studies demand a clear focus on the subject
Demonstrate accuracy, transparency and interest of the case study
Write the case study in terms of clarity
Details the patient’s history, clinical examination, diagnosis, treatment plan, findings and results
The discussion of the case study should explain the case study
The conclusions of the case study should accurately and clearly explain the purpose of the study
Mention the relevant references to support your case studies
